I don’t have much to add to this excellent post from Peg Aloi over at The Witching Hour (you may notice I get a lot of inspiration from all the excellent bloggers at the Patheos Pagan Portal, so definitely check it out! While you’re there, the Patheos Atheist Portal is a good read too). Peg describes herself as a ‘non-deist’, and views the gods as symbols, archetypes and inspirations, but nature is at the centre of her pagan experience.
I think the most accurate way to describe it is to say that I engage with the energy and imagery of these deities: I take part in their mythology, their ancient story, which has been reborn around the world.
I love her take on the gods, and her emphasis on nature, which she writes about wonderfully. So…go read her post!
